Deputy Commanders for Seniors

     Maj Christophe Marchand was appointed Deputy Commander for Seniors of College Park Composite Squadron in July 2020 where he was previously the Emergency Services Officer. Maj Marchand is a FEMA Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) instructor, a search and rescue Ground Team Leader, and an Aircrew Mission Observer. Maj Marchand has been the recipient of five Maryland Wing Emergency Services Officer of The Year Awards and helped College Park to secure the Ground Team of the Year Award in 2019 and 2020. Maj Christophe Marchand is also the Emergency Services Training Officer of the Maryland Wing.

 

 

     Maj Frédéric Roche joined the Civil Air Patrol in October 2017. Since then, he has actively participated in various CAP activities, including Tri-Wing Encampment, Search and Rescue exercises, and sorties. He currently holds several qualifications notably a GTL (ground team leader) rating, along with MO (mission observer) and MS (mission scanner) on the crew side. He is also an Emergency Service Officer, Emergency Service Training Officer, Safety Officer, Health Service Officer, Communication Officer, Drug Demand Reduction Officer, Testing Officer, and Deputy Commander for Seniors. As Deputy Commander for Seniors, he plans to reinstall frequent meetings with seniors and work on the senior member CAP career development side of things. Maj Roche is also a FEMA Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) instructor.
