School Service Hours

Do you need service hours to graduate?

All activities (except regular meetings) meet the requirements for school service hours for Prince George's County Public Schools, Montgomery County Public Schools, and District of Columbia Public Schools.  Cadets need to complete the school form (usually available from the guidance office or the main office at the school) and present the completed form to the Squadron Commander, Deputy Commander for Cadets, Deputy Commander for Seniors, or the senior member who served as POC for the event.

Private schools and Home-school systems usually accept CAP activities for service hours as well.  Check with the school administration to determine what process to follow.

Many schools recognize service hours on their transcripts and most colleges look favorably on active participation in activities like CAP.  It's a good idea to keep track of the activities you do outside of school.
