Colleges, Universities, and Advanced Programs

In addition, as cadets advance, they become eligible for numerous scholarships and grants that they may use to attend CAP programs and outside programs including an opportunity to earn a private pilots license or more advanced ratings.  There are college scholarships and many colleges and universities look favorably on active CAP participation and the services academies reserve slots for CAP cadets.  While there are financial scholarships based on financial need, the vast majority of these grants and scholarships are highly competitive.

Cadet promotions are not given away ... they are earned through a rigorous program which includes aerospace education, leadership, physical fitness, and character development.  Cadets take on increased responsibility as they advance.  As a cadet, you will need to work hard to earn your promotions but the rewards will last a lifetime.
