Command and Staff

The Civil Air Patrol depends upon those members willing to assume additional responsibilities and work to provide the leadership and services to their Squadron, Group, and Wing.  There are lots of opportunities to do interesting and exciting things:  Pilot? Aircrew? Ground Search and Rescue? Incident Command? But there is lots of other work that must be done to support our three missions of Cadet Programs, Aerospace Education, and Search and Rescue.  We depend upon finance officers, personnel officers, training officers, chaplains, and those who are simply willing to serve and help.

The Civil Air Patrol is an all-volunteer program.  Members pay dues and provide their own uniforms and equipment and do not receive pay for the many hours they spend.  They train at their own expense.  Without the willingness to donate time, effort, and money, Civil Air Patrol would be unable to support our community.

Ongoing and specific squadron expenses are covered by donations from members and supporters.  The College Park Composite Squadron is based at the College Park Airport through the generosity of the Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission and specifically by the support of the College Park Airport.

Thank you to all of you who give so generously.
